HughesNet Fusion plans combine fast satellite and wireless technologies to significantly reduce latency by sending latency-sensitive requests through a wireless connection rather than satellite. This means faster load times for your videos and webpages, making your online experience more responsive and enjoyable.
With traditional satellite Internet, requests travel a long distance from your device to a satellite and back, causing a slight delay known as latency. Experience a smoother online journey with HughesNet Fusion, , a fast wireless and satellite home internet service.
With Fusion home internet service, your videos and webpages load faster, and service feels more responsive. No more frustrating buffering or lag; we’re here to ensure your internet experience is as smooth as it gets. With multiple paths available, stay connected with added online speeds and reliability.

With satellite Internet, requests travel a long distance from your device to a satellite and back. This distance causes a slight delay known as latency. This delay is so minimal that there’s little impact to most online activities, but is more noticeable with activities like watching videos, browsing content-rich websites, working from home and joining video conferences.
Combining satellite and wireless technologies reduces latency by sending latency-sensitive requests to the closest cellular tower instead of a satellite. With a low-latency service, requests load faster, and the service feels more responsive.
To ensure fair Internet access for all HughesNet subscribers, Hughes maintains a special Fair Access Policy that establishes an equitable balance in Internet access for all HughesNet subscribers. Similarly to how cell phone providers manage their data plans, Hughes assigns an amount of Data to each service plan that may be downloaded or uploaded within a one-month period. Subscribers who exceed this amount will experience a temporary reduction of speed until their next billing cycle.
